St. Gregory's High School started its journey in 1882 to spread education in Bangladesh . Father Gregory de Groote, a Belgian Benedictine priest, founded this school in January, 1882. The Holy Cross Fathers and Brothers came to Bengal in 1853 and left in the 1870's but returned again six years later. Fr. Gregory began the school in a building, which was located west of the present Gregory's main building where St. Francis School now stands. St. Gregory's High School, 82, Luxmibazer.
