Mr. Sikder founded Z. H. Sikder Women's Medical College and Hospital in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and financed the project with his own private funds. His motivation in creating this institution was the concern for medical education opportunity of Bangladeshi female students and health care of general public. He has also founded several other schools, charitable organizations, orphanages, and free medical dispensaries for the poor. He continues unselfishly to share his personal wealth with the poor population, and applies his great energy to better the health, education and social welfare of the people.
