Bangladesh is one of the developing countries of the world. One of the impediments to our development is unstable law and order situation. At the back drop of this situation present Government of Bangladesh felt the necessity to organize a permanent special force under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Home Affairs in order to make the crime free society. Finally with the blessing of Honorable Prime minister and under the close supervision of our Honorable State Minister for Home Affairs a special Force named RAPID ACTION BATTALION FORCES was formally emerged on 26 March 2004. Under the supervision of Ministry of Home Affairs, this force could start its operational journey at a limited scale from 14 April 2004.
