Malaysian Palm Oil Council is a semi-government agency under Malaysian Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities. It is responsible to promote the market expansion of Malaysian Palm Oil and its products. Since the inception of MPOC Dhaka regional office, various promotional activities such as seminars, quiz competition, cooking competition, rural promotion programmes, TV cooking show, TV ads have been undertaken by MPOC to disseminate information about the beneficial attributes of palm oil. MPOC Dhaka office is also acting as an information hub in regards to oils and fats production, import and consumption in the country for the related industry players, media and for govt. agencies.
