Leading University (LU) is the first government approved private university of Sylhet, Bangladesh founded by renowned philanthropist Mr. Ragib Ali. On his proposal for establishing Leading University to the Ministry of Education on 24th August. 1996, the Ministry issued permission on 28th August 2001 to establish this University.

Minimum Requirements for Undergraduate Program
1. Minimum Second Division or GPA score of 2.50 both in SSC and HSC
2. 'O' Level in 3 Subjects and 'A' Level in 2 Subjects

Minimum Requirements for Graduate Program for MBA (Regular)
1. Graduate in any discipline
2. Having at least 06 (six) points

Minimum Requirements for Graduate Program for MBA (Executive)
1. Graduate in any discipline
2. Minimum 2 (two) years experience in executive
