An individual Soldier is the most important part of Bangladesh Army. No matter what job they have or rank they hold a Bangladesh Army Soldier is always upright with his honor and pride. Bangladesh Army is ready to respond to any mission to safeguard the sovereignty of our motherland and to work in any disaster management or in aid of civil power. Bangladesh Army is organized into units, each with its own leaders and reporting structure. Each unit whether it's a section or division was created to respond to any mission, regardless of size or complexity. The Army is made of soldiers serving as Sainik, Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs), Warrant Officers and Commissioned Officers.

The Army has three broad categories of Soldiers: Soldiers, Junior Commissioned Officers and Commissioned Officers. Each has its own specialized training, responsibilities and areas of expertise. Each and every Soldier is the pride of our nation. Together, they are critical to the Army's ability to defend our country, our freedoms and our way of life.

REQUIREMENTS
To apply for a Commissioned Officer you must be:

17 -21 years old on January 01 or July 1of the year admitted and 18-22 years for those who are already serving in the Armed Forces.
A Bangladeshi citizen.
Not married.
Having passed SSC and HSC exam with minimum GPA 3.5. For candidates those who have passed from abroad, they need to take equivalent certificate from Ministry of Education.
