Cement is the latest addition in the list of export commodities in Bangladesh. Our country started exporting cement from January 2003. Crown Cement of M.I. Cement Factory Ltd. takes the pride of part of it. Earlier, apart from some production of state-owned Chhatak Cement Factory, the country was dependant on its import. In this context, local investors took the initiative for setting up cement factories and starts producing cement in 1992.
