Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy is the National Academy of Fine and Performing Arts. Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy is the national academy for Cultural Activities, Music, Dance, Festivals. Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy was established under the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Act 1974 (Act no. 31 of 1974) in the National Assembly (Parliament). In later years, with some amendments, 'Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Ordinance in 1989' has been accepted in the National Assembly (Parliament) and approved by the Hon'ble President. At present this Academy is run by this Ordinance of 1989.
