Bangladesh National Museum located at Shahbag Dhaka, is the biggest museum in Bangladesh with more than 80 thousand objects representing Hindu-Buddhist civilization, Islamic heritage of Bengal, and contemporary Bangladesh. This museum is a four-storied building with a total exhibition area of more than 20,000 sqm. and there are total 44 galleries. This Museum has a rich collection of old Bengali manuscripts, written on hand-made paper, palm leaf which representing the different phases of Bengal art.
