Bangladesh Machine Tools Factory (BMTF) Ltd. is a state owned company under the management of Bangladesh Army. It was commissioned on February 11, 1979. BMTF has production facilities like casting, forging, machining, heat and surface treatment etc.

BMTF's mechanized foundries are the largest in Bangladesh having a combined output of about 5000 tons per year. All foundry operations and procedures are strictly monitored, executed by experienced foundry men and supervised by highly qualified metallurgists.

BMTF's Machine Shop is equipped with all general and specialized machines, all kinds of machining is possible in BMTF. The specialized machines enable BMTF for production of all kinds of gears, drills, taps and turning tools.

The Factory of BMTF is located at Gazipur with an area of 249.55 acres with a covered area of 60310sq meter. It has thirteen large production shops along with administrative building, training school, residential area etc.
