Bangladesh Buddhist Association has established its Dhaka branch in Norda area of Pragati Sarani, Gulshan, Dhaka, on 1st November, 2007 which name is Bangladesh Bouddha Maha Vihara to spread its welfare activities in the capital city of Bangladesh. From the beginning it is organizing different national and religious festivals, self-blood donation, food distribution in community hospitals, worship of Buddha and Shibali, Attha Parishkar and Kathin Chivar Dana. Dhaka Branch publishes a souvenir named "Boishali" in Veshakhiya Purnima and Kathin Chivar Dana.
