Bangladesh Awami Jubo League, the first youth organization of the country, started its journey on 11 November 1972 upholding the solemn promise to realize the dream of Bangabandhu, which he had cherished throughout his life, of building a golden Bengal. Jubo League has become the largest youth organization of Bangladesh under the leadership of "Deshrotno" Sheikh Hasina through momentous struggle and great movement that passed different phases.

Leaders and activists of Jubo League (JL), mobilized under the leadership of JL chairman Jahangeer Kabir Nanak and general secretary Mirza Azam, set vivid example of playing substantial role by joining hands to lead a popular movement against all sort of criminal activities and atrocities of the BNP-Jamaat alliance government.
