Bangladesh Accreditation Board (BAB) is the National Accreditation Authority established in 2006 as an autonomous organization upgrading the quality assurance infrastructure and conformity assessment procedures in Bangladesh and enhancing the recognition and acceptance of products and services in international, regional and domestic markets. This board offers accreditation for different types of Conformity Assessment Bodies (Laboratories, Certification and Inspection Bodies) in accordance with the international principles.

Introduction
* Established in 2006, as an autonomous body formed under the Ministry of Industries (MoI).
* Offers accreditation programs for Laboratories, Certification Bodies, Inspection Bodies and Training Institutes.
* Associate Member of APLAC (Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation).
* Affiliate member of international organizations: ILAC (International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation).
* Aspiring to pursue Signatories to ILAC and APLAC MRAs.
