Bengla Utsab Association of Edmonton celebrates the best of Bengal every year in every field through presentations, performances, pageants, parades with participation by representatives of the far flung Bengali Diaspora of Edmonton and other part of Alberta in particular and Canada, the great country in general.

Though the Bangla population is mainly concentrated in Bangladesh and India (West Bengal), a large number of Bengalis living in Canada, established themselves through their contribution in various activity domains like arts, science, education, economics, business and industry. Bangla Utsab plays pivotal role to enhance interest in Bangla culture among the local Bangla population as well as others interested in Bangla culture in Alberta and British Columbia. In view of the above fact, Bangla Utsab association with the support of the local Bangla population has decided to organize a Bangla Utsab in Edmonton on July 15 and 16, 2011. The ultimate goal of this Utsab is to provide a vehicle to satisfy the aspiration of Bangla population as well as others interested in Bangla culture in western Canada.

BUA is proudly inviting all the Bengalis to join BUA 2011 event scheduled to be held on July 15th (Friday) and July 16th (Saturday) in the theatre style seating of the newly built Hall D with stunning floor to ceiling windows of The SHAW.
