Asian University for Women also known as AUW is an international university in Bangladesh established in 2008 and located on M.M. Ali Road at Pahartoli in Chittagong. It's a kind of Women's regional university chiefly for Asian Women. The motto of AUW is "Educating the Leaders of Tomorrow, Today". AUW is ready to make the women for developing potential ability to meet society's challenges, fruitful change, and become meditative, moral leaders through an accurate liberal arts curriculum. Currently, it has over 400 students from 12 Asian countries.

The Asian University for Women Support Foundation (AUWSF) founded in the United States, merged as a non-profit organization serving as the key planning and fund raising organization for the University. International leaders like Dr. Muhammad Yunus, Henry Rosovsky, Marina Mahathir and many more are highly contributing in various sectors (educational, financial, and developmental) to develop AUW. It has a number of Academic Programmes such as: Pre-undergraduate, Undergraduate, Graduate, Internship & Careers, Partner Institutions.

Administration of AUW:
Currently, Cherie Blair is the Chancellor; Kamal Ahmad is the Founder and Acting Vice Chancellor; Dr. Mary Sansalone is the Provost and Chief Academic Officer of AUW. AUW has 43 Academic and 100 Administrative Staffs.

AUW Campus:
The University has a master plan for the future campus which is developed by the world renowned architectural firm Moshe Safdie and Associates. AUW has a group of buildings which are consisted with of classrooms, science labs, administrative offices, the library, computer labs, gym, dormitories, and the health center. On 26 April, 2011, a ceremony was held at the permanent campus of AUW, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, and the Chief Patron of AUW, formally laid the foundation stone of the permanent campus of AUW.

Admission Criteria:

• An applicant should fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for admission to the Access Academy and Undergraduate. The requirements which are:
• Must be a female between the ages 17-25 and shall have to complete a total of 12 years’ of education.
• Shall have to leadership potential and commitment to work for absolute social change.
• For Access Academy an applicant ought to receive an average of 60% of marks or equivalent grades in the final examinations including a minimum score of 60% in the last English and Mathematics exam.
