The academic activities of Armed Forces Medical College commenced through induction of 56 medical cadets on 20 June 1999. The college is affiliated to University of Dhaka and recognized by Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council (BMDC). So far 9 batches of total 493 students have been inducted. The students of First 4 batches have already become doctor and the 3rd batch has completed their internship training in Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Dhaka. Remaining batches are progressing as per the academic schedule. The admission is based on merit keeping in conformity with Government order published vide AFMC instruction -1/2003

Armed Forces Medical College is located at Dhaka Cantonment on the northern side of Airport Road, which is an island of scenic tranquility blended with natural beauty and bounty. The AFMC campus possesses an area of about 13 acres of land opposite to Cantonment Railway Station and Hotel Radisson, Dhaka.

@ mymona yeasin,for the students who'll complete their HSC in 2011,entrance exam/admission test will be taken at the end of this year,around October.Circular of the entrance exam will be published in all leading news papers.If you are interested you'll have to appear for the exam,number of your entrance exam and scores of your SSC and HSC will be considered.As you are in gulf now,you can apply under the category of foreign quota.Keep trying and best of luck :)

heyy..i just wanted to know students who are finishing their HSC in 2011 may when are they suppose to apply for the test??
i am currently studing in gulf under an indian school..and i will be graduating from this only.after i finish my 12th graduation i am planing to come back to Bangladesh and join afmc...it would be helpful if u give me this informations.
