Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) was formed on 15th July, 1972. Kazi Md. Salahuddin is the president and Abdus Salam Murshedy is the Senior Vice-President of BFF.
BFF got AFC and FIFA affiliation in 1973 and 1974 respectively. Bangladesh was elected as member in the AFC Executive Committee 1982-86 and 1998-02. Major (Rtd) Hafizuddin Ahmed was elected Vice-President of AFC for 1990-94.
The Bangladesh Football Federation is the governing body of football in Bangladesh, controlling the Bangladesh national football team. It was founded in 1972, and has been a member of FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation since 1974.
