 | Largest Residential Solar System by Shurjomukhi 09 May, 2011
Shurjomukhi – an outfit active in the Renewable Energy sector of Bangladesh for the last 2 years - has recently successfully completed the installation and commissioning of a 7.5KW Solar Electrification System for the residence of the Chairman of Noman Group, Mr Nurul Islam.
Mr Islam, an environment conscious industrialist, decided to go with solar energy in fulfillment of the DESCO requirement to implement 3% of the overall energy need by renewable energy. Located in Gulshan 2, the project is the largest of its kind for a residential property in the country and has been implemented using state-of-the-art AC solar technology and equipment. In order not to clutter the roof proper, the panels for the project have been placed on the rooftop of the terrace along with the Solar Control Room housing the inverters and other equipment. The solar energy produced by the system is used for electrification of basement, ground floor and top floor terrace of the building.
“The system is a hybrid Solar UPS system that maximizes the use of solar energy yet employs the grid diligently when it needs to.” Fida Haq, CEO of Shurjomukhi, said. “The outcome is thoroughly reliable yet affordable power that can be used for mission-critical purposes without compromising the environmental merits of an energy system.” He added.
