Dhaka stocks finished flat amid volatility Wednesday as the investors were cautious ahead of the four-day Eid vacation starting from today (Thursday).
The market swung between positive and negative territories in the morning but late rally in banking stocks helped the indices edge higher.
The benchmark DSE General Index (DGEN) inched up by 0.05 per cent or 3.55 points to end at 6807.24, after sharp fall in the previous day.
The broader DSE All Shares Price Index (DSI) gained 0.14 per cent or 8.35 per cent and finished at 5714.23. The DSE-20 blue chip index inched up by 0.49 per cent or 19.62 points to 3954.33.
