 | Advisers begin work in respective ministry 02 November, 2006
Advisers of the non-party Caretaker Government yesterday started work at their respective office at Bangladesh Secretariat formally as they were given charge of different ministries on Wednesday night.
The advisers, most of them went to their offices in the early hours of the working day yesterday, exchanged greetings and held meetings with officials of ministries and departments concerned. The officials of the ministries were seen busy to welcome the Advisers.
During the meeting the advisers directed the officials of their ministries to perform their duties with honesty and sincerity and staying above all sorts of political ideology.
They also directed them to carry on the development activities along with the routine work.
On the first day of their office, the newly appointed advisers enquired about the activities of the ministries concerned and resolved some important work of the respective ministry.
Talking to newsmen the advisers said that they expressed their determination to do whatever needed for holding a credible election in the country by the Caretaker Government.
The advisers said they would work honestly speedily to hold the next general elections scheduled to be held early 2007 in a free and fair manner. In this regard, they sought all-out cooperation from all concerned.
