British Council Bangladesh

The British Council creates international opportunities for the people of the UK and other countries and builds trust between them worldwide. We call this cultural relations.

British Council Bangladesh, working in Dhaka since 1951. Today, we have expanded our presence to multiple locations in Bangladesh. We offer a wide range of services and activities across the country, through our offices in Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet.

We have over 6,000 library members and are committed to delivering improved services to them. In September 2014, we will be opening a new state-of-the-art library in Dhaka featuring the best of British. We also run English teaching centres, English language courses and examination operations in Bangladesh.
