 | Report Broken URL |  |  | Sylhet City Corporation | |  | | |  | The Local Institute is running from the period of British Government. Sylhet Municipal Board established in 1867. Then the Municipal Board changed into the Municipal Committee in the district and after that it was changed into the town in the subdivision. later the municipal committee and the town committee abolished at the period of Bangladesh, then it is named as municipal corporation. At 9th April 2001 the municipal corporation improved as a City corporation.
